Nowadays, with B2C's flourishing like Amazon, Ebay, Alipress,, many products have been directly sold to end users while many of the middle sale's channels like distributors, importers, agent..etc have been cut off.  This makes more & more companies with traditional sale's channels are meeting heavier pressure in price.  It's seen many of the companies have made the changes in the sales channels, such as updated company website as an online shop, set up shop on Amazon...etc. try to meet the current trend.

Actually many of the consumer electronic products need a battery to provide power and make it work. 

Battery is just a component for an electronic product.  However, it's very important part, 

without it, the product can not work and it takes a quite part of the whole product cost. 

Hence, to choose a suitable battery, cost effective with good performance is very important. When designing a new product, it's better to check with the battery supplier first and try to select a suitable solution in order to get the quality goods with competitive price.  

 Here some of the ways help you save battery cost:

1. 18650 cylindrical battery 3.6V 2000mAh~2200mAh

Among the Lithium-ion cells, the 18650 cell is a good choice, it can provide higher power energy while the cost is very low. And the demand in the market is very big, so you can always no worry about the MOQ. 

The short-coming is the size. Its diameter is about 19. Length about 69mm. If the size is no problem, the best cost effective way is to consider 18650 cells. 

2. BL-5C , BL-4C ...etc  previous Nokia mobile batteries

BL-5C, BL-4C were the most popular items in the past for the Nokia mobile phones, the prismatic cells and production procedures are both very very cost effective.  Now many of other electronic products are still adopting BL-5C, BL-4C as the power supply, like the old man mobile phones, wireless speakers... 

BL-5C capacity available from 600mAh~1100mAh.  Price varies with different capacity.！

BL-4C capacity available from 500mAh~800mAh. Price varies with different capacity. 

3.   Polymer cell 523450P-3.6V 950mAh~1000mAh
This lithium-polymer battery is cost-effective if qty is big 

4. 103450P 3.6V 1800mAh
This lithium-polymer battery is cost-effective if qty is big. 

Note:  the above recommendations are based on consumer electronic application.  Different applications have different requirement for the battery.  It's better to consult with the battery supplier during designing your new product to get the best solution!
